1 set of eyes, 3/8" across

-----

1 skull, made as follows:

Using white polymer clay, make a ball about 1/4" across.

Flatten to about 3/8" across.

Using an x-acto knife, cut notches on either side of the round.

Make 3 evenly-spaces cuts along the lower edge to make the teeth.

Round the corners for the cheekbones. Using a blunt needle, make two indentations for the eyes.

Assembly:

Fill head and body with stuffing and stitch head to body with needle and thread.

Using needle and thread, stitch hair over head.

Stitch beard onto face.

Stitch moustache onto face.

Flip hat inside-out...

...and fold the edges over.

Fill hat with a small amount of stuffing and stitch onto head at an angle.

Glue skull onto front of hat.

Glue eyes onto face.

The hat?

Could you explain the hat a bit further? I don't really understand how to do the first row. What do you mean by "continue around to other side of chain"? I did ch 8, then did 6 sc & a 3-in-1 sc in those ch sts. Now what?

You might check the tutorial that I did for the Grim Reaper's hood, available here:

http://needlenoodles.com/home/node/115

It shows in a little more detail how you "continue around to the other side of chain."

Basically, you're making a "U" turn around the end of the chain. You sc to the end, working in the "top" of the chain, then you go around the end of the chain, and keep working sc on the "bottom" of the chain.

On row 4 of the hat are the 'inc' stitches 2 HDC or 2 SC?

Thanks

inc = 2 sc in 1
