As you may or may not know, I am mega-huge dork for the Silent Hill games. So, in honor of my gaming addiction, I've made a set of directions for making your own Robbie the Rabbit from Silent Hill 3.
Note: This design contains simulated gore. If you are bothered by that sort of thing, then you might not enjoy today's post. Please enjoy this video of a cute kitten instead.
Suggested Materials:
Lion Brand Cotton-Ease: Berry
Lion Brand Cotton-Ease: Charcoal
(or a worsted-weight yarn of your choice)
Embroidery Floss: Black and Ecru
Polymer Clay: Black and White
Peach colored felt
Red acrylic paint
Pieces:
1 Basic Head using Berry colored yarn (see page 95 of Creepy Cute Crochet)

1 Basic Body (see page 94 of Creepy Cute Crochet), with the following variations:
start using Charcoal colored yarn, work Rows 1 - 11
switch to Berry colored yarn, work Rows 12 - 13
Chain stitch around between Rows 11 and 12 using Charcoal yarn

2 Arms using Berry colored yarn (see Cyber Zombie Arms pg 71 of Creepy Cute Crochet)

Ears
(make 2 using Berry colored yarn)
ch 9, sc 1, hdc 6, hdc 4 in 1, hdc 6, sc 1
continue around, sl st 19, clean fasten off

Overall Straps
(make 2 using Charcoal yarn)
ch 3, sc 2

Using polymer clay, make the eyes, nose, and mouth as follows:

Cut felt pieces as follows:

Assembly:
Stuff body and stitch head over neck.
Stitch arms on either side of body.
Stitch Overall Straps to front of body (weave in yarn ends in the join between the head and body)
Stitch on buttons for overall straps by using 2 strands of Ecru embroidery floss and making a french knot over each strap.
Stitch/glue felt ears and muzzle over the ears and face.
Stitch/glue eyes, nose, and mouth onto face.
Stitch eyebrows using 2 strands of Black embroidery floss.
Using red acrylic paint, dab gore over mouth and chest.
