Creepy Cute Cross Stitch: The Monster Edition!

I made my cross stitched motifs using 14 mesh perforated plastic, stitching with two strands at a time. Feel free to modify these designs to fit in with your own project.

To make the project above, I made each of the above cross stitch motifs on perforated plastic, then trimmed each piece into an even rectangle. I hot glued each motif onto a felt backing, then glued the felt-backed piece onto the board.

To make the board, I covered the front of a piece of wood with felt, then stapled white fabric over entire piece, with a ribbon tacked over the center of the fabric.
