To make the Mouth:

I used black and white polymer clay, to make the mouth shown. Feel free to use any method you prefer.

Start with a 5/8" by 1/2" oval in black polymer clay. Press a row of 4 very small balls of white clay around the upper edge of the mouth, and 4 more along the lower edge. Using a tapestry needle, make two holes in the mouth so you can go back to sew the mouth into place later.

Assembly:

Using needle and thread, stitch the Head onto the upper front of the Body. (Tip: if you don't have polypellets on hand, weight the body using glass pellets, dried beans, or clean pebbles. Otherwise, your finished toy will be top heavy and will have a hard time staying standing.)

Stitch the Ears into place using needle and thread.

Pin the Hair and Beard into place and stitch them into place using needle and thread.

Stitch Arms into place using needle and thread.

Stitch Mouth into place.

Thx

Oooh - a new crochet pattern... I really must get round to making up some of your fantastic expansion pack options, though I'm going to have to start with your pirate first as he is my favourite :-)

Thanks so much for another great pattern!

love it...
