Today I express myself... in haiku form!

nosing about the landscape
Not made up, I swear!

Double New Free Pattern Day!

Today we have not one, but *two* new patterns added to the Free Pattern section!

First up, there's a new pattern for making knit crowns, so, if your wardrobe is insufficiently regal, go whip up one of these bad boys and strut your royal stuff.

Second, I've made an updated version of the Sprite Doll pattern, which is hopefully a little bit clearer and more complete than the original.

Both patterns are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license, so you're welcome and encouraged to make and/or sell items, or to make and share your own variations of the pattern, so long as you give credit and allow others to make similar use of your work.

Getting back to basics...

For all of those beginning crocheters hot to make an army of crafted critters, but a little bit fuzzy on this "inc" and "dec" business, I'm putting together a quick crash course in basic crocheted toy making.

Today's topics are single crochet increases, decreases, and working in the round (as a spiral and as concentric rounds)
